Prairie Schooler Santa Moon

I had one more block to stitch for an exchange this year and it was a Santa themed one. I'm not a big fan of Santa but have always loved this little Santa crescent shaped moon from Prairie Schooler. It was a lot of fun to stitch even on the 14 ct black aida! I even used the recommended DMC colors! My exchange blocks are done for the year....back to some exciting model stitching!!

Prairie Schooler Reindeer

I finished up some models so am taking this chance to finish up a couple of things. This is one of the reindeer ornaments from the Prairie Schooler Christmas Eve leaflet. It is stitched on a gray-blue 16 ct aida and is for a deer exchange block for a yahoo group I belong to.

Tis the season for ornament exchanges

The top picture is an ornament I stitched for my friend Rita. It's SamSarah's Winter Love from the JCS ornament edition 2007. I changed the colors in the scarf to scarlet and gray for my fellow Ohio State alumni! The 2nd picture is from Prairie Schooler called Snowy Night and it's from the JCS ornament edition 2008. This was a surprise gift "just because" another wonderful friend who really loves snow!

This last picture is the best of all! I received this from my friend Julie. It is a Mary Garry piece and in my favorite colors!!! She attached it to a painted wood frame. After Christmas I will display it in an easle all winter!! I just LOVE it!!

I stitched the crab from Prairie Schooler Sunny Days chart (book 171). It's stitched on 16 ct dirty aida with the recommended DMC. It is for a block exchange for a yahoo group I belong too and this is for the summer related block.

I stitched one of the little blocks from Prairie Schooler's book #154 July.  This is for a block exchange for one of my yahoo groups.  It's stitched with the recommended DMC on a piece of Sassy's Cape Cod blue aida.
